RedPeak's Executive Team
RedPeak was formed by Mike Zoellner, Mark Windhager and Jamie Thompson, who got together, pooled their comprehensive diverse experience in the residential industry, and set out to create a different kind of apartment company. Liz Lacy joined us a few years later to round out the executive team. Here's a little more about them:

MICHAEL A. ZOELLNER
Mike Zoellner is the President and Chief Executive Officer of RedPeak Properties. Prior to forming RedPeak, Mike was employed for 17 years at Legacy Partners Residential (formerly Lincoln Property Company) where he was responsible for apartment operations and development in Utah and Colorado and also served as an Operating Partner in various real estate partnerships. During his tenure at Legacy Partners, he oversaw the development, construction and management of over 30 apartment projects with 7,500 units in Colorado. In 1978, Mike graduated from Creighton University, Eppley School of Business with a BSBA in Finance, and in 1981, received his Juris Doctor from Creighton’s School of Law. In addition, Mike is a licensed Colorado Real Estate Broker and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Regis Jesuit High School, Citywide Banks, Stewart Title of Colorado, Mercy Housing, Inc. and The Downtown Denver Business Improvement District (BID). Mike is also a member of the National Multi-Family Housing Council and a Multi-Family Housing Council member of the Urban Land Institute. Mike also serves as Chairman of the Colorado Multi-Family Housing Alliance – a general purpose, better government fund that represents the interests of the Colorado Apartment Industry. A fourth generation Colorado native, Mike and his wife, Nancy, have three grown children.

MARK J. WINDHAGER
Mark Windhager is the Chief Operating Officer of RedPeak Properties. Mark has more than 20 years of diverse real estate management and development experience and has been associated with the successful development, lease-up and/or repositioning of 26 communities totaling over 10,000 units. Prior to starting RedPeak Properties, Mark was Vice President and an Officer of the Rocky Mountain Region of Legacy Partners Residential, Inc. In this position, he was responsible for the successful operation of third-party fee clients as well as Legacy-owned assets in Colorado and Utah, supervising approximately 190 employees. Preceding his years with Legacy, Mark established the Nevada office of Security Capital Pacific Trust, now a publicly traded company under the name of Archstone/Smith. As Operations Manager, he handled asset management and property management in Nevada. Before his association with Archstone, he was Regional Manager and Operating Partner for Trammell Crow Residential Services in Colorado and Utah. Mark holds graduate degrees in Business Administration and Real Estate Development as well as a Bachelor of Environmental Design from Texas A&M University in 1986. Mark has served various director roles with the Apartment Association of Metro Denver (AAMD) since 1994 and served as AAMD President in 2006. Currently, Mark sits on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Apartment Association.

JAMES H. THOMPSON
James (Jamie) Thompson is the Financial Services Officer of RedPeak Properties. Before starting RedPeak, he spent 11 years working with Trammell Crow Residential (TCR) as Controller, responsible for the financial reporting of over 150 TCR and third-party owned properties (in 12 states including Colorado) as well as five TCR overhead entities (four management companies and one accounting center). Other responsibilities included internal audit, cash management, and information systems. At TCR, Jamie coordinated the growth of the Dallas office accounting team from 25 properties and five staff members to over 150 properties and 43 staff members over a seven-year period. He worked with a variety of third-party and TCR owners, involving many reporting requirements and operating systems. Prior to his TCR experience, he participated in various audits of real estate clients with Ernst & Young for four years. Jamie graduated with honors in 1986 from Texas A&M University with a B.B.A. in Finance.
